A Bartlett Type Correction for Rao’s Score Test in Cox Regression Model
نویسندگان
چکیده
Gu and Zheng (1993) established a Bartlett adjustment for the partial likelihood ratio test in the Cox proportional hazards regression model. It is known that the same method of adjustment cannot be used to improve the accuracy of the test statistic derived by Rao’s score method. In this paper, the method of Cordeiro and Ferrari (1991) is used to derive a Bartlett type correction for the score test in the Cox proportional hazards regression model. As a special case, a test which is more accurate than the popular log-rank test is obtained. AMS (2000) subject classification. Primary 62E20, 62G05; secondary 62P10.

Rao’s score test in spatial econometrics
Rao’s score test provides an extremely useful framework for developing diagnostics against hypotheses that re+ect cross-sectional or spatial correlation in regression models, a major focus of attention in spatial econometrics. In this paper, a review and assessment is presented of the application of Rao’s score test against three broad classes of spatial alternatives: spatial autoregressive and...
متن کاملSmall-sample corrections for score tests in Birnbaum–Saunders regressions
In this paper we deal with the issue of performing accurate small-sample inference in the Birnbaum– Saunders regression model, which can be useful for modeling lifetime or reliability data. We derive a Bartlett-type correction for the score test and numerically compare the corrected test with the usual score test, the likelihood ratio test and its Bartlett-corrected version. Our simulation resu...
متن کاملBartlett correction factors in logistic regression models
Bartlett correction factors for likelihood ratio tests of parameters in conditional and unconditional logistic regression models are calculated. The resulting tests are compared to the Wald, likelihood ratio, and score tests, and a test proposed by Moolgavkar and Venzon in Modern Statistical Methods in Chronic Disease Epidemiology, (Wiley, New York, 1986).
متن کاملBartlett-type adjustments for hypothesis testing in linear models with general error covariance matrices
Consider the problem of testing a linear hypothesis of regression coefficients in a general linear regression model with an error term having a covariance matrix involving several nuisance parameters. Then, the Bartlett-type adjustments of the Wald, Score, and modified Likelihood Ratio tests are derived for general consistent estimators of the unknown nuisance parameter. The adjusted test stati...

As customers are the main asset of any organization, customer churn management is becoming a major task for organizations to retain their valuable customers. In the previous studies, the applicability and efficiency of hierarchical data mining techniques for churn prediction by combining two or more techniques have been proved to provide better performances than many single techniques over a nu...
